Word on the street is that Steve was stupid enough to give Mark his savings for a deal, and, a few years later Mark was dumb enough to go along with Steve’s random idea to buy property strictly for short-term rentals in a city neither lived in.

Turns out we’re good at “stupid” ideas.

Mark kappelman, CPA

Mark is responsible for acquisitions, fundraising, and business development and brings over 10 years of accounting, finance, and client success experience to the duo. He currently holds a senior client success position with a venture-backed technology company in Chicago, with previous professional experience at PwC and Ernst & Young. Additionally, Mark’s undergraduate and graduate degrees are from Arizona State University.

In his free time, Mark likes to spend time with wife and two boys, exercise, read, and play sports.

SteveN eshkenazi, CPA

📍Miami, FL

Steve is responsible for acquisitions and financing. He leverages his 10+ year background in accounting and finance to evaluate potential properties and manage the external financing. He invested in his first real estate investment in 2014 (with Mark) and has since been hooked on trying to build the company’s passive income portfolio.

He is currently the Head of Strategy for a small business lending firm in Miami. Previously, Steve worked at NXT Capital, a commercial finance company, and PwC. Steve’s undergraduate degree is from The University of Miami. Recently married, Steve enjoys golfing and traveling the world with his wife, Martine, in his free time – but nothing is better than golfing while traveling!
